The Digitoll concept is threefold and based on the following key principles:
- Information is delivered digitally, before or at the latest at the border crossing.
- The Customs Authority processes and assesses the risk of the information before or at the latest upon arrival.
- A largely automated border crossing.
What does DIGITOLL entail?
The possibility to clear goods up to 10 days after the border crossing will be discontinued. The purpose of this discontinuation is to ensure that the Customs Authority receives the necessary goods information before or at the latest at the border crossing. There will be a requirement for digital information about the transport and import goods before the goods cross the Norwegian border, which will result in a faster border crossing.
What does this mean for Bring customers?
Our customers will generally experience minimal impact, provided that we receive the necessary information for customs processing well in advance of the border crossing to Norway. Customers who may be affected will be contacted by Bring before the changes come into effect.
Bring can handle all Digitoll processes for you and ensure that your goods flow smoothly across the border and are correctly cleared through customs.
