Transport surcharge for packages and pallets within, to, and from Denmark
From January 1, 2025, the Danish government has introduced a new transport surcharge in Denmark to reduce CO₂ emissions. The surcharge applies to driving on most of the national road network as well as parts of the municipal road network and is imposed on trucks weighing 12 tons or more.
As a result, from May 1, 2025, a transport surcharge will be applied to domestic shipments as well as shipments to and from Denmark – see the affected services below.
The transport surcharge is a fixed rate added to the parcel price. The surcharge will be displayed separately on the invoice and stated in the agreed currency.
